The Perfect Redness-Relieving Cream (it’s Natalie’s fave!)

Lots of Beauty Is Wellness readers deal with redness in their complexions. When they come to me for advice, I’m not one to recommend a certain drugstore product (one that claims to be the answer to redness) and call it a day like 9 out of 10 beauty mags seem to do. That would only be scratching the surface…
Redness has both internal and external causes, and dual course of action is the ticket. Redness, whether it’s occasional spots or a condition like rosacea, can be triggered by food intolerances, poor digestion, a bacterial infection- even low-grade inflammation. To remedy these issues, a change in diet is a good idea. Beyond that, a natural healing, anti-inflammatory face cream calms and soothes the skin on the outside.
I recently sampled an organic cream that would be an ideal product for anyone dealing with redness and sensitivities: Pai Organic Chamomile & Rosehip Sensitive Skin Cream. I found out after I sampled it that Natalie Portman is also a huge fan! “‘I love Pai organic skincare – particularly the Chamomile and Rosehip Cream,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. And it turns out that the founder of Pai, Sarah Brown, created the line to deal with her own skin allergies- could you ask for more proof that it works?
This is only the second product I’ve tried from Pai (the other being a phenomenal eye cream) and I’m already such a fan. Pai’s products are clean (in this case, 77% organic), especially gentle and quite effective. The chamomile in this Sensitive Skin Cream is perfect for calming surface inflammation (thanks to its naturally-occurring azulene), and the antioxidant-rich rosehip oil is a proven healer. If redness is your worry, you’ll definitely want these ingredients on your side. At $38, it’s not a bad deal either- for a natural skin care product with top-quality ingredients.
Let’s hope we see lots more from Pai (a UK-based brand) in the US!

How do I get a sample of this Redness relieving Cream? Suffering from Rosacea and hysterectomy seems to have made it worse.
Hi Theresa,
A great site here in the US that sells Pai skin care samples is Spirit Beauty Lounge (http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com).
You can customize your own sample kit with up to 9 products (try a bunch of Pai products and I bet they’ll all be great for your skin).
Here’s a link to the Chamomile & Rosehip cream:

Let me know how you like the cream!
Our little boy had terrible eczema which caused redness, inflammation and bleeding if he would scratch too hard (which he did often) and it was so awful. Thankfully the one and only thing to really REALLY help his skin has been his Belly Boost probiotic! They are awesome chewables and probiotics are really being shown to help with skin stuff so I wanted to mention it to any of you for your redness!
