I get why it’s hard to just toss away your conventional products. The loud clunk of a still-full product hitting the bottom of the waste basket? Not fun. And there isn’t always room in the budget to splurge on natural replacements, especially around the holidays.
So Beauty Is Wellness is giving you some incentive to toss the old stuff that’s not doing your body one lick of good: a great big, amazing natural beauty giveaway! How big? How amazing? I’m talking more than $500 worth of products to restock the holes in your cabinet.
So who’s ready to start 2012 with a basket FULL of natural beauty?
Here’s how the giveaway works: every weekday in December, I’ll add a new natural beauty product to the giveaway basket, and list it below. That’s 22 products in all! To enter to win the entire natural beauty basket, just ‘Like’ Beauty Is Wellness on Facebook before 1/1/2012. Current BIW fans will be entered automatically. For an extra entry, leave a comment while you’re there (limit one). One big winner will be chosen at random and contacted January 2, 2012.

Product #22 (Dec 30): Silktage Rejuvenating Styling Serum. Pamper your hair all winter with this styling serum/leave-in oil treatment that contains luxurious camellia, monoi, coconut and jojoba oils (and no silicones) to leave your strands soft and nourished. Hi Jolene, this is a fabulous giveaway for those who’d love to try the healthier skin and makeup products that might be too expensive. I haven’t tried any of the products you listed but they look promising. I have to second what NaturalJoy stated about Facebook (I, along with many of my friends have deactivated our Facebook accounts for security and other negative reasons) so it’d be great if you’d open up these giveaways to non-facebook users. Next year I will begin my new life as a flight attendant and hope an all natural beauty routine will help me cope with the odd random hours, stuffy cabin air and the sleep deprivation I’m sure will take its toll on my skin. I want to look as fresh faced as possible at all times, and natural products with their wonderful aromas will help me feel it too!
Ashley, you are exactly right- aromatherapy will be a great tool as you deal with changing time zones, germs and lack of sleep! You’re also going to want to find a natural moisturizer and facial spritz that you love and make them your best friends, since the air in plane cabins is so dry.
One travel kit that I love is by This Works- the Turbo balm, face spritz and germ-killing aromatherapy roll on are genius. Another great aromatherapy product for you would be 21 Drops Immunity blend, to ward off colds. You’ll want to drink tons of water (and add in some greens powder for more beauty nutrition between meals with barely any calories) and take a good Omega 3 supplement.
